Country Manager – Eswatini

About the role

The Eswatini Country Manager will own the profit and loss, growth and day‑to‑day operations of Swoop’s leading food‑delivery platform in the country. You will work directly with the international leadership team, manage local cross‑functional teams and build strong relationships with partner stores and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the Eswatini budget, tracking revenue, costs and profitability while forecasting growth.
• Scale key performance indicators such as orders, GMV, active users and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with international leadership to localise strategy and allocate resources.
• Provide on‑ground insights on customer behaviour, competition and regulatory environment.
• Build and maintain relationships with restaurants, retailers and other partners, negotiating commercial terms and designing long‑term growth partnerships.
• Lead local teams across marketing, store acquisition, driver operations and logistics, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Design and execute local marketing strategies, store acquisition plans and driver recruitment and performance programs.
• Coordinate plans for new services beyond food delivery, such as groceries and ride‑hailing, testing ideas and recommending scaling decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in B2C management for food delivery, ride‑hailing or a similar marketplace.
• High‑ownership operator with a strong understanding of the Southern African market.
• Proven ability to scale a startup and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
