Health & Nutrition Manager

About the role

World Vision Eswatini is seeking a Health & Nutrition Manager to provide operational leadership, technical oversight and quality assurance for its health and nutrition programmes. The role translates strategic objectives into practical implementation plans that improve the well‑being of vulnerable children and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, budgeting and development of work‑plans for health and nutrition interventions across area programmes.
• Coordinate activities with programme teams, partners and government stakeholders to ensure integrated, evidence‑based delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, monitor performance and address implementation gaps to maintain high programme quality.
• Roll out health and nutrition standards, tools and approaches, promoting consistency across projects.
• Strengthen integration with related sectors such as WASH, livelihoods, education, child protection and resilience.
• Conduct field monitoring, supportive supervision and on‑site visits to improve implementation.
• Assess technical capacity gaps and design capacity‑strengthening plans for staff, partners and communities.
• Facilitate training, coaching, mentoring and develop technical training materials and job aids.
• Coordinate documentation of lessons learned, best practices and innovations, and collaborate with DMEAL for evidence generation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong ability to translate strategies into actionable plans, budgets and monitoring frameworks.
• Excellent coordination skills with experience working with multiple partners, donors and government agencies.
• Demonstrated capacity to build technical skills of teams and partners through training and supervision.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian values and to improving the lives of vulnerable children.
