Monitoring & Evaluation Officer - Data Quality and Analytics

About the role

Palladium, a global impact company, is hiring a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in Mbabane to support the Eswatini monitoring, evaluation and strategic information portfolio under Data.FI / Project Nexus, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. The role strengthens the availability, quality, analysis and use of routine health information, with emphasis on CMIS and related national systems, G2G MoU indicators, data quality assurance, dashboards, facility and regional data reviews, and data-driven Quality Improvement Projects.

Key responsibilities

• M&E systems strengthening: support M&E frameworks, indicator registers, performance plans, workplans, reporting tools and milestone verification; maintain monitoring tools, evidence and action trackers; prepare evidence packages for internal, MoH and donor review.
• Data quality assurance: plan and run routine data quality assessments and validation of CMIS and other health information systems; track findings and corrective actions; support deduplication and script validation with data engineering teams.
• Indicator monitoring: map and validate National/G2G MoU indicators, assess coverage across CMIS, NDR and DHIS2, and coordinate extraction, validation and consolidation of results for routine and quarterly reporting.
• Analytics and dashboards: analyse routine health data, support dashboards and visualisations, check data quality and reconcile outputs to source data.
• Routine data reviews: support MOH facility, regional and national data reviews and Data-for-Action, support regional teams with workplans and action plans, and provide mentorship on data interpretation and evidence-based decision-making.
• Quality Improvement Projects: use routine data to identify and monitor QIPs, support their design and measurement, and integrate results into routine review platforms.
• National reporting: help the Ministry of Health develop factsheets, reports, templates, indicator definitions and SOPs, and support CMIS implementation monitoring and capacity building.
