Health Technical Specialist

About the role

The Health Technical Specialist will provide in‑country technical direction and lead the implementation of FCI’s integrated service‑delivery model in Eswatini. Working closely with the Ministry of Health, faith‑based organizations and other partners, the role ensures that the program aligns with national policies, donor requirements and global technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall technical direction for the FCI health program in liaison with the Project Director and Global Technical Director.
• Adapt and implement technical strategies, standards, tools and protocols to the national context, ensuring compliance with Ministry of Health guidelines.
• Oversee technical planning, implementation and coordination of HIV and TB services delivered through faith‑based and government health facilities.
• Maintain and strengthen technical relationships with the Ministry of Health, Regional Health Management Teams and sub‑national health authorities.
• Represent FCI in national and sub‑national technical working groups, meetings and conferences.
• Support integration between government and faith‑based service delivery systems, strengthening referral pathways and continuity of care.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical leadership for health programs, preferably in HIV and TB.
• Familiarity with national health policies, guidelines and donor compliance requirements.
• Experience working closely with Ministries of Health and faith‑based organizations.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder technical working groups and represent an organization in technical forums.
