Boiler Operator

About the role

The Operator role is responsible for safely operating and maintaining utilities equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness within the brewery’s production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Boiler start‑up and shut‑down
• Coal banking and handling
• Optimising production processes
• Performing quality checks
• Recording coal deliveries
• Operating utilities plant and equipment
• Recording and calculating water and coal usage
• Reporting equipment failures

Required profile

• National Diploma or N6 in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years boiler operating experience
• Good knowledge of John Thompson Boilers
• Basic knowledge of production processes
• Strong numeracy and engineering skills
• Self‑starter with logical thinking
